They are in the subject specific buildings. There are six of them, one for each subject.

So will I have to choose one subject? Or will I have to visit beginner courses for all subjects?

There's a registration room, too, but it only has a few public screens and one person to help.
And often you meet other persons there, so you can talk to them personally, which is always nice if you care more about the people than about the subject.

After a while we reach a room. There are a few screens and a few people sitting around or standing at a screen.

Not much is going on here. Most people join the courses from their screens at home.

So can you recommend any subjects? Which subjects do even exist?

The main subjects are technology, culture, biology, physical exercise, magic and creative work.

And what specific courses exist?

Ruby gets to one of the screens and enters some things until a list of all courses appears, sorted by subject.

I look at it.

Technology contains courses about building and engineering stuff, and courses about programming, physics and math.

Culture is about politics, philosophy and the geography of the known world.

Biology includes courses about animals and plants. It's about the general properties and organs, about chemical basics and about the actual species. One is just about different human races, and a few about medicine.
Also genetic engineering is included. And some course about sexuality of different animals.
Even one practical course about human sexuality, whatever that is.

Physical exercise is pretty obvious. It has courses for ball games, different fighting styles, gymnastics and swimming.

And magic just has courses for each kind of magic, and also a few general courses.

And creative work has courses about different creative activities like drawing, music, writing and related stuff.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by this huge number of courses to choose.

So do you already have some idea?

And creative work sounds like a lot of fun. I sometimes draw or write a bit. And I even know how to play something on the flute.

So three subjects are already safe, I guess. Culture, phyisical exercise and creative work. Then only one remains.

Yeah, sounds good. So which of the remaining subjects are you going to choose? Maybe we could choose the same subject.

I want to take a course in all of these subjects, which you are least interested in.

Then we also discuss my other subjects, and I choose my specific courses.
After a while I'm done.

I'll have a general course about the different cultures together with Ruby.
But she sadly doesn't join the course about plants.

I also chose some phyisical exercise course together with Flora. She likes fighting using simple weapons. And that's what this course is about.

And last I chose drawing course. It's pretty obvious to me, since it seems easy and fun.

When everything is chosen, I'm kind of exhausted. We must have been talking for hours.
I'm happy to go home again with Ruby.
And I'm happy, I probably found a new friend.
I'm already looking forward to see her again.

If it's always that simple, I'll have enough friends, soon.
But for now I'm just looking forward to spend a relaxing rest of the day with Ruby.
